THE CHRONICLES
From the Self to the Streets
This collection maps a unique, dual journey: beginning as a personal, intimate record of the photographer behind the lens before opening up into the raw, high-energy, historic reality of visual journalism during the historic Egypt-Algeria football event.
Artist’s Note:
The first five photographs are personal reflections captured entirely on an iPhone.
They are included here to inspire and encourage anyone with a passion for the lens: pick up whatever tool you own, immerse yourself in the environment, and simply enjoy the creative process.
A favorable outcome or a global award is a beautiful bonus—but the joy of capturing the world is the true reward.
THE FIRST STEPS
Hong Kong
The opening frame of a personal journey, capturing a quiet entry into a vast, modern architectural space. Clutching a camera at his side, the photographer moves forward with an observant, open-minded gaze, stepping intentionally into the play of light and shadow that defines the creative path ahead.
DEEPENING THE PATH
Hong Kong
Advancing further into the journey, the photographer walks down a deeply symmetrical, tunnel-like corridor. Framed by powerful geometric lines that create a strong sense of forward momentum, this perspective captures the feeling of moving deeper into an artistic vision, balanced right at the center of his own changing horizon.
SEPARATED BUT ATTACHED
Hong Kong
A low-angle graphic composition capturing a pivotal moment of transition in the journey. As the physical form strides boldly forward and partially out of the frame, the self remains intimately anchored to the scene by a sharp, perfectly cast profile shadow on the wall behind—evoking a powerful sense of leaving a piece of oneself in every space explored.
NATURAL CONTEMPLATION
China
The fourth chapter of the journey shifts away from hard architectural lines and into the quiet, organic serenity of a park in China. Walking along a path blanketed in autumn leaves with camera in hand, the photographer is enveloped by towering trees, capturing a moment of peaceful alignment and deep artistic reflection within the natural world.
SPLIT TIME AND SPACE
Hong Kong
The final frame culminates in a visually stunning, surreal composition in Hong Kong that feels like standing between two completely different realities. On the left, a vibrant, cool blue reflection of towering city skyscrapers dominates the glass; on the right, warm, sweeping architectural curves frame the photographer resting quietly at the center—a brilliant finale that captures the ultimate convergence of time, space, and self-reflection.

Egypt secured a victory following their previous World Cup loss against Algeria.
More national pride than soccer.
